What is the CPF?

  • The CPF is a Forum for community-based organisations that are concerned about safety and security

  • The Forum is a place where you can meet to discuss issues about safety and security with the local police and with other groups about common concerns, and to solve problems

  • Almost any well-organised group of people can join the Forum because safety and security is everybody's business

 How does it work?

  • There is CPF in every Police Precinct

  • To prevent crime the police and the community must work together

  • The purpose of the Forum is to promote a partnership between the community and the police

  • The CPF will also provide support for organisations that promote social crime prevention, such as womens groups, youth clubs, churches

  • The CPF has a management committee, elected by the member organisations to carry out the day-to-day business
