Rules for the  Election:

  • Membership of the Executive Committee of the Forum is limited to South African Citizens above the age of 18 who redise or have business in the Muizenberg police precinct.
  • Only a person who is a bona fide member of an organisation registered with the Muizenberg CPF can be elected to the Executive Committee.
  • Nominations must be submitted on the nomination form (download from this page) before the start of the AGM.  Either email to Muizenberg CPF (see link on this page) or give to the CPF Secretary or the Station Commander, Muizenberg SAPS.
  • Only persons mandated to represent  an organisation that is registered with the Muizenberg CPF may vote.
  • Voting by proxy is allowed  (download form from this page)

What is the CPF?

  • The CPF is a Forum for community-based organisations that are concerned about safety and security

  • The Forum is a place where you can meet to discuss issues about safety and security with the local police and with other groups about common concerns, and to solve problems 

  • Almost any well-organised group of people can join the Forum because safety and security is everybody's business

 How does it work?

  • There is CPF in every Police Precinct

  • To prevent crime the police and the community must work together

  • The purpose of the Forum is to promote a partnership between the community and the police

  • The CPF will also provide support for organisations that promote social crime prevention, such as womens groups, youth clubs, churches

  • The CPF has a management committee, elected by the member organisations to carry out the day-to-day business
